The rise of AI generated content on the internet has become controversial in the past few years. Some websites have been created and monetized solely with AI content. With this in mind we want to be upfront about the use of AI on our website.
Computer Techs is an IT service and computer repair company in Reno, Nevada. We have been providing in-home service throughout the Reno area, and remote service worldwide since 2003. The purpose of our blog is to inform and educate customers, potential customers and anyone on the internet based on everyday experiences while helping our customers. If we see a new scam trending, come across a new method to help make using your computer or smartphone easier, or can help you save money – we’ll write about it.
Before AI, this author had writer’s block. I had all sorts of ideas and topics based on everyday experiences. But putting pen to paper (so to speak) was time consuming. Since I’m a perfectionist, many articles were never written, or severely delayed. But with AI – and a subscription to Google’s Gemini more specifically – I can have a rough draft written in no time. After the draft is written, I will add and subtract words and sentences, have it create outlines, graphics and infographics, and publish the article in a fraction of the time that it used to take.
Now I have more time to help customers, while still getting important information out to the masses. By the way, this blog post was completely off the cuff, with no help from AI. And it probably shows.
