Phishing emails attempt to gather personal information such as passwords, account information or credit card numbers. The emails appear to be from a legitimate source – your bank, internet or email provider for example. They are often designed to mimic the appearance of a legitimate business including company email addresses and logos. But with a closer look, you can often spot phishing emails from some of the characteristics which I list below.

When I wanted a new computer in July 2003, I turned to Mark of Computer Techs who guided me thru the entire process. He helped me choose the right computer for my needs, migrated my old programs, and installed DSL and added a Spam Blocker and other necessary software. He was extremely knowledgeable and courteous. When I need technical assistance, it is wonderful not having to explain over the phone to a stranger, but have him come to the house and do hands on help. His fees are very reasonable and I would recommend him to anyone.
