They usually first notice the problem when they are contacted by someone in their email contacts about unusual requests for money or a gift card. Other signs that an email account has been hacked include: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lots of emails from &#8220;mailer-daemon&#8221; in a short period of time<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No new email in the Inbox, and being filtered to the Trash or Archive folder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Some or all previous email have been deleted<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All contacts have been deleted<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8220;Reply-to&#8221; address changed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All messages being forwarded to a different address<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Email signature added or changed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The language changed to something other than English<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>When attempting to login to their email some have discovered that their password has been changed and they are unable to access their account. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Yahoo<\/span> account has been compromised, below are some helpful links:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/help.yahoo.com\/kb\/SLN2090.html\" target=\"_blank\">Recognize a hacked Yahoo Mail account<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/edit.yahoo.com\/forgotroot\/\" target=\"_blank\">My account has been hacked, and I can&#8217;t login<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If your AT&amp;T Mail account has been hacked:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.att.com\/support\/article\/u-verse-high-speed-internet\/KM1009464\/\" target=\"_blank\">Reset or change your AT&amp;T Mail password<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.att.com\/support\/article\/email-support\/KM1044608\" target=\"_blank\">Recover a Hacked AT&amp;T Email account<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;re still unable to access your account after following instructions in the resources above, you can call Yahoo at&nbsp;866-562-7219 or AT&amp;T at 800-288-2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To help prevent future hacking of your email account you need to change your email password to something that is secure and different from any other password.
